I'm Matthew Leonard and today I am joined, as you can see, by a couple of priests, Father

Michael Mitchell and his brother, Father Jason Mitchell.

And we're going gonna talk about sacred scripture

and how Catholics should approach it.

In particular, we're gonna focus on the four senses

of scripture.

So not just what they are,

but how they can be applied practically to

particular the readings of the mass.

In fact, my guests are going to do a practical application

of these four senses of scripture

to a set of readings, a particular set,

so that we can basically help our old

participation in the litters of the word and also we're going to talk about a

resource that they're working on to help priests prepare their homilies for

mass and we all like that. And this is important from a bigger perspective because

we need to know as Catholics how to approach the Bible properly. And if we don't

do that, if we don't know how to approach the Bible, then it's not just a

problem for how it is to kind of read and engage scripture privately, but also how we encounter it in

the liturgy, which really in a lot of ways is the more important aspect of scripture, because
