Summary

Prayer is an art that needs to be practiced properly and authentic meditation is an absolutely necessary part of every Catholic's day. As St. Teresa of Avila declared, "How often I failed in my duty to God, because I was not leaning on the strong pillar of prayer."

In this episode, ScienceOfSainthood.com founder, Matthew Leonard, provides a primer on Catholic meditation and then provides a guided audio meditation based on the spiritual classic "Introduction to the Devout Life" by St. Francis de Sales.

1:14.3

Meditation, though, is something that many Catholics don't practice but is absolutely necessary

for any progress in the spiritual life. If you don't have a life of regular meditative prayer,

any kind of progress in the spiritual life.
