Stephanie Kemmerer lived with this compulsion for years,

and it led her to embrace ideas, like those perpetuated by the movie Zeitgeist,

that 9-11 was a controlled demolition.

Kemmerer is now in remission, you might say,

and she runs a support group for recovering

conspiracy theorists called Doubt, discussing our unusual beliefs together.

She joins us today to show us how she fell down these conspiratorial rabbit holes, how it

distanced her from family and friends, and how she came to see the narcissism

and what she calls celebrated victimhood

at the heart of her past delusions.
