In the late 90’s, residents of San Luis Obispo were concerned that a serial killer may be on the loose following the disappearance of two Cal Poly Tech students within a two year span, followed by yet another bright young woman abducted on her way to study at Cal.

A massive police effort would soon bring to light a separate killer than that of the original, highly publicized Kristin Smart case. This all thanks to the work of a parole officer whom thought to question a recently released inmate he referenced as being short and stocky, yet agile.

1:31.0	She was last seen being helped back to her dorm by fellow students following an off-campus party,
1:37.3	where she ended up passed out on a neighbor's lawn at around 2 a.m.
1:41.8	The search for Kristen would last over 20 years, with the case being
1:45.8	solved fairly recently, and no small part due to the reach of a true crime podcast. But back
1:52.0	then, when another Cal Polytech student went missing again after a night of frat-style drinking,
1:58.0	the two cases were naturally thought to be connected. San Luis Obispo authorities
2:03.2	were quick to react while still under massive scrutiny due to the handling of the Kristen Smart
