0:00.0	The state of Texas and the whole world is left sorrowful, praying for those who are lost in the Texas flood over the Independence Day weekend.
0:16.0	The numbers keep coming back larger and larger, and I'm going to share some of these stories.
0:23.6	It's encouraging to see the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, aware of this, and actively calling on people to pray.
0:33.1	Here's what Pope Leo said at his Angelus address yesterday. He said, and I'll show the clip in a moment
0:40.0	here, but he said, I would like to express sincere condolences to all the families who have lost
0:48.5	loved ones, in particular, their daughters who were at the summer camp and the disaster caused
0:53.7	by flooding of the Guadalupe River
0:56.5	in Texas in the United States. We pray for them. So the numbers I've last seen are in the 80s
1:05.6	of those who have lost their lives from this flood. And the girls camp mystic which i believe is a methodist camp
1:15.8	28 girls including the camp founder owner i believe also lost his life in the tragedy and um
1:24.7	you know the good thing is these young girls were there to pray and enjoy God's beauty.
1:31.3	And, you know, Methodists are validly baptized.
1:34.3	Baptized in the name is Father, Son, the Holy Spirit.
1:37.3	And so our hope is, and our assurance is that these poor little girls are with Jesus now.
1:46.5	And a friend of mine reached out, he said,
1:49.1	how do we make sense of these natural disasters?
1:55.6	And my response was,
1:58.6	the problem of evil will never be solved in this life.
2:06.2	Death, destruction, war, calamities, plagues, floods, cancer, all of these horrible things.
2:14.5	We don't have a clean, philosophical, or theological answer to those things.
2:23.8	What we do have, again, it's not an answer, but what we do have as Christians
2:29.6	is we have the knowledge and the belief and the hope and the love for Jesus Christ.
