0:45.9	there has been devotion to Christ's heart for many, many centuries in many different ways,
0:51.2	but it's thought of as a modern devotion. And by many people, I'm sure it's thought of as a modern devotion. By many people, I'm sure it's
0:56.3	thought of as the central or main modern devotion revealed to St. Margaret Mary back in the 17th century
1:05.1	and raised to a feast by Pope Pius 9th in the middle of the 19th century. And it's that you see the
1:14.8	heart and then you see thorns around it. And it's the, I think what it represents, at least from my
1:20.1	understanding, is there's the heart of Jesus that loves us innocently and completely and around it.
1:27.3	Those thorns are the, our sins, our indifference,
1:30.9	our ingratitude, all of that.
1:32.5	And so we remove those thorns by taking up the life of love and repentance and charity
