Summary
It has been a great honor to host Mike Sacks and Kelly Gee on What Came Next prior to this conversation. Kelly first shared his experiences of abuse in episodes 51 and 52, entitled “Against Big Odds” and “What Happens Next,” which aired in January of 2024. Episodes 109 and 110, entitled “Silence is an Incubator” and “Up to Us to Protect,” were released over a year later and highlight Mike’s abuse experiences with the same hockey coach nearly a decade prior to Kelly's abuse. The two men, united by sharing their experiences in the media and a similar mission to change the world, created a non-profit organization called Survivors for Change. In this special episode of What Came Next, both men join us again to share about their process of developing a revolutionary program for survivors and their support systems in the wake of their healing. The Broken Cycle Media team extends our immense gratitude to the Survivors for Change team; it’s survivors and organizations like them that will enable the vicious cycle to end.
