Welcome to the Feminine Podcast. This is Nancy Wilson. Thanks so much for joining me today.

Since so many of you are either starting Sabbath dinners or you're still celebrating

0:17.9

Sabbath dinners in the midst of many years of doing it or you're thinking about getting

0:23.3

started, I thought I would just tell you a couple of my favorite Sabbath dinners stories.

0:30.0

All right. The first is from Grace Agenda in 2013, almost 10 years ago. We were so thrilled

0:37.3

that John Piper and Tim Chester were coming to speak on Gospel Presence, which was a theme

0:42.7

of Grace Agenda that year. The conference ended Saturday and our plan was to host many

1:24.9

up lots of folding tables. But meanwhile, I set up tables probably on Wednesday of the

1:31.0

Grace Agenda week. We had four college girls living with us, and they graciously moved

1:35.7

all their stuff out of the family room so I could take it over entirely. The other bonus

1:40.5

for setting it up there was we had a counter and a sink down there, and it was out of our

1:45.5

way. We could all just walk around it for the next couple of days, and it wasn't in the

1:49.7

middle of everything. So, upwind the tables, onwind the tablecloths, and all the play

1:54.9

settings, including the play cards for the guests, so everyone would know where to sit.

2:00.3

And by the way, I do think with a big group that it's a real kindness to have play cards,
