Hi, welcome back to therapy chat. I'm back after a little break, really settling into the new

year and trying to bring you some fun, different things, which is what we're going to do today.

I had the idea to bring you questions from listeners.

I thought that maybe I would have one episode where listeners asked questions and I would

But when listeners started asking questions, what I realized is that the questions were so

played on only one episode. So this week, we are going to talk about a question that our caller

Elizabeth had about episode 107 when I interviewed Tamara Hill and the title of that episode is

abusive relationship dynamics and trauma bonding. Tamara and I were talking in that interview and

she was initially going to talk to us about trauma bonding. But what it

kind of evolved into is a discussion about some of the dynamics of abusive relationships. And

Elizabeth, our caller, who you'll be hearing from in a moment, had a question for more detail about that.

Because in the interview with Tamara, we talked about it as two people who have plenty of experience in working with clients who've been in abusive relationships and maybe some firsthand knowledge.

I did disclose some firsthand knowledge that I had of witnessing abusive relationships and

being in an unhealthy relationship, which almost turned abusive.
