Welcome to Kitaku Split Screen, the only video game podcast recorded from a prepper bunker in the wilds of Montana.

It's March 29th, 2018, and we're back from our weeks of travel and eager to return to doing normal-ass podcasts.

This week, we're keeping it pretty casual, focusing mostly on the games we've been playing

recently. We start off with some early impressions of Ubisoft's new open-world shooter Far Cry 5,

then I rave for a while about the delightful co-op narrative game A Way Out, which is seriously so good.

You really got to play it.

After that, we revisit a bunch of S&ES classic games from Super Metroid to Link to the Past,

as well as the first Red Dead Red Dead redemption, which Jason and I streamed together last week.

We're so glad to be home, and we're very glad that you're here with us.

Welcome back to an actual normal episode of Kataku split screen. My name is Kirk Campbellton. I am editor at large for kataku.com. I am once again back in Portland,

and I am once again looking at a video on my screen of Katakou News editor, Jason Schreier from New York. Hi, Jason.

Hello, Kirk. It is good to be back to the normal schedule. We are unwinding a little bit from

GDC today, so I think we're going to do a bit of an abridged episode, where we just talk for a

little bit. The Kataku split screen goes casual. It's going to be a casual episode.

And then next week we'll be back to the normal, like, structured news, interviews. Yes, our normal, rigorous, rigorous podcast structure.

But considering we just did about 12 episodes, I think people got a fair amount of split screen over the best couple of years.

Yeah, so I do want to say, I guess, this is a new podcast, we're going to talk about new

thoughts, but if you haven't listened to everything, do go back and listen to all of this.

I think those are all pretty fun, right?
