Last week we talked about what social anxiety is and the first part of overcoming social

anxiety, which is changing your beliefs about people and the world around you.

So it's a really good episode to start with when it comes to learning

about social anxiety and how to actually overcome it. Today, I wanted to talk about the second

part of overcoming social anxiety. And one of the most important aspects of overcoming

social anxiety is building your self-confidence. Okay. So in last week's episode, we talked

about some of the lies that social anxiety likes to tell us in our brains. And some of those lies

can be thoughts like, you did something wrong, or nobody likes you, or they are all mad at me,

right? And I hear the question all the time when I'm coaching

about social anxiety and it's like, well, what if they really are all mad at me or like,

I did do something wrong or everybody really is staring at me, okay? And the way that you deal

with these kind of thoughts that come up in your brain. And in the rare, rare cases where that

may actually be true, building your self-confidence and really being aware of how you talk to

yourself, that is going to be the important part of overcoming those thoughts and those things that

might actually be true in your life. Okay. So self-confidence,

it starts inside your brains, you guys. People are going to get mad at you. You are not going to be
