When I was going through the thick of the depression, I would close every window, every drape in the house,

and I would pin it to the wall or tape it down so the light didn't even creep in when it was daytime.

Wow. That's how much light scared me, the outside scared me.

And so that morning at about five, I'm not exactly sure of the exact time, but I knew there was

sunlight and sunlight crept into the room.

Her diagnosis of postpartum depression brought with it a deep darkness that caused her to block out the light in every way possible. Julie is a wife, a mother of two, life coach and author, the release of her

novel, Hope Inside Out, and her willingness to be open and transparent has allowed her to find

healing for herself and to help others do the same.
