It's Flannel Panel,

talking about the news of the day from a Catholic perspective. We're going to get to some audio

from National Public Radio. A national public radio talking to a New York Times writer about the

Catholic Church, it was just too much for me to pass up. I almost fainted when I heard that

that had happened. And the audio does not disappoint.

At least I don't think it disappoints and we'll play a little quiz game with Chris and Joe regarding that interview.

Can I say something about the framing of that?

Yeah.

So I believe her name is Nicole Winfield. She's the Associated Press, like go to,

uh, I don't even know the term, uh, like the delegate for Italian politics and the Catholic

church. I got one person covering both of those beats. And you know, she gets a decent number of things wrong, but overall she's not bad.

But it's one of those things where, like, the standard we have is so low that if you had one person covering sports and they didn't play the sport and they didn't follow the sport recreationally, and they only kind of knew what it was about and they would you know

you know call it you know scoring points when you get a run you know that kind of stuff where it's even

the little things we're just like ah you don't really know how that goes yeah right yeah exactly

there's a lot of that stuff and we've just kind of learned to accept it.

Part of that I know is because, you know, Legacy Media is dying.

But it's embarrassing. Like, they're not dying with dignity.
