It was a cold and rainy morning on November 22, 1985. As a neighbor made her way to work,

she noted a strange scene, a young boy standing in the rain without shoes or socks playing

with a dog by his mailbox. Just over an hour later, that same child would be reported

missing. Despite exhaustive searches and multiple departments and federal agencies contributing,

the disappearance of Jeremy Greiss was a mystery which fought hard against being solved.

Police were limited in evidence and tips, some pointing towards the family, others towards

an unknown man seen in the company of a similar child that same day. Many years after Jeremy's

disappearance, police began to consider a possible connection to a convicted killer who

had targeted children in Jeremy's age range within close proximity to where he was last

singing. For some though, the idea of a stranger abduction seems too bizarre and they believe

someone closer to home knows exactly what happened to four-year-old Jeremy Greiss.
