13-year-old Russell Evans was making his way home from hanging out with friends.

Two miles down the road just a tenth of a mile from his house.

A passerby found him lying in the street, severely injured and calling out for help.

Hours later, Russell died as a result of his injuries.

While the Spokane Police officially ruled his cause of death to be that of a hit and run accident,

evidence at the scene caused their ruling into question.

Desperate for answers, his parents launched their own investigation,

finding a number of inconsistencies with the official ruling.

Was Russell killed by a hit and run, or was something more sinister going on?

Could the teenager have been targeted by someone he knew, or perhaps the victim of a random act of violence?

There is also a mystery about the crime scene that night,

while Russell called out for help to a mysterious Brian, someone dressed in white was seen fleeing the scene.
