0:28.6	Very nice to see you. Yeah, you too. So you were in the retail gig back in the late 70s? Correct. Yeah when I got out of college I
0:37.6	Didn't know what to do with my life. I liked wine and I did different jobs. I worked for a wholesaler for a little while, I worked for a retailer for a little while, and then landed a job at a retail store in the Santeeanes Valley in the little town of Los Olivas, which is kind of what brought me to that area, and I've been there ever since.
0:57.0	Oh, okay. So you were kind of down south from the beginning?
1:00.0	Yeah, I grew up in Southern California. I'm from the Midwest. My parents are both
1:03.7	Midwesterners, but I grew up in Southern California. My dad worked for McDonnell Douglas
1:08.9	Aircraft Company, which has a big office in Huntington Beach, California, Orange County.
1:15.0	Because there's a fair amount of military bases in California, or at least there used to be more.
1:19.0	They're there, yeah, especially back in the 60s.
1:22.0	Yeah.
1:23.0	So you're there, you're working a retail wine gig,
1:27.1	you meet up with your Kimosabi for life, Jim Clendenin,
