My name is Jeff Buck, and each week I ask the same 12 questions to a different

race car driver over on The Athletic.com and here on the tear down feed. This week we have NASCAR Cup

Series rookie Todd Gillland, who is driving for front row motorsports. And despite knowing Todd Gilliland, since he was a little kid, I used to cover his father,

David Gilland for the local paper in Southern California.

I have only done one 12 questions interview with Todd Gillland, I believe.

That was back in 2017 when he was still in the K-nnn west series so it's good to get back

together with him and talk for this year's edition all right everybody i'm here with todd

gilland and we're back for another 12 questions and we we think this might be the first one since

your k-n-n-n-day so glad you're back on thank you for coming back it's awesome it's an exclusive club like you're saying so i'm excited you're back on. Thank you for coming back. It's awesome. It's an exclusive

club like you're saying, so I'm excited to be back on. Okay. So the first one is, and this applies

to you because you're a tall person, how do you feel about people reclining their seats on airplanes?

Oh, I do not like people who recline their seats. Like, especially on the planes that we fly to the racetrack victory

planes they're like not much leg room to begin with they're mostly short flights but um i'm the guy

that never puts my seat back just because i know what it's like to be on the the back side of that

my knees are already touching the seat in front of me so i uh i avoid a recline seat in front of me

at all costs.

Yeah, I'm with you on that.

And surprisingly, so many people this year are like, I don't have a problem with it.

And I thought I was going to get so many people talking about, like, don't do that.

We could start a movement to not put your seat back ever.

But most people seem okay with it.
