I'm a writer for the athletic.

And each week I ask the same 12 questions to a different race car driver.

Up next is Martin Truex Jr. of Joe Gibbs Racing, who recently announced he will return for another season after he was weighing possible retirement.

But he'll be back next year. And that means we can do maybe another questions then as well.

But how about this year, too?

He's obviously a man of few words and owns that.

But, you know, he's sneaky, funny.

And when you get him to talk a little bit, he has a lot of interesting things to say.

listen. All right, everybody, I'm here with Martin Truex Jr. How, Martin? How are you doing?

Good, Jeff. How are you? Good. Thank you. So the first question this year is,

how do you feel about people reclining their seats on airplanes?

I mean, when you get on an airplane and you get in your seat, don't you all want to recline?

I mean, I think it's like it's unspoken that the seats are made to recline.

You should be able to recline.

And if you have a problem with it, you probably shouldn't be on the damn plane in the first place.

I'm reclining my seat.

I'm just going to tell you, I don't care if the person in front of me reclines theirs if that answers your question. My seat's back. All right. How often do you get recognized at the grocery store?

I don't go to the grocery store that often, but definitely not that often at all.
