Certain people are allowed to leave Gaza for the first time since Hamas's terror attack.

An Egyptian official told CNN the Rafa crossing has opened to allow a limited number of injured

Palestinians out of the besieged shanclave. U.S. officials believe more than 5,000 foreign nationals

could end up being released from Gaza as part of a Qatar mediated deal,

but emphasized things are fluid on the ground. An Egyptian state affiliated news network said today

the first group of dual nationals have also started arriving in the country from Gaza.

Americans are not expected to depart until later this week.

Many sources emphasize that this deal is not part of any potential deal to secure the release of hostages being held by Hamas.

Those talks are still ongoing and video CNN obtained shows another massive blast

has rocked a northern Gaza refugee camp, which was hit by a destructive

and deadly Israeli strike yesterday.

CNN has reached out to the Israeli military for comment.

Israeli officials like Mark Reggev, who advises the country's

Prime Minister, said yesterday's strike was militarily necessary.
