Republican George Santos has been expelled from Congress after a damning ethics probe found that he used campaign funds for

personal purposes. He's now only the sixth member of Congress to ever have been

expelled. The cheer announces to the House that in light of the expulsion of the gentleman from New York, Mr Santos,

the whole number of the House is now 434.

That was House Speaker Mike Johnson announcing the results of the vote, where 105 Republicans joined with most Democrats to kick Santos out.

After the vote, Santos told CNN, quote, it's over, and said the House has set a quote,

new dangerous precedent for themselves.

Santos has slammed the investigation,

refused to resign in the lead up to the vote,

and stated he wouldn't seek re-election.
