Monday October 7th. Milton has strengthened to a category 5 hurricane as it barrels

toward Florida. It's been just 10 days since Helene

slammed Florida's Gulf Coast and now officials are asking residents who are still

in recovery mode to evacuate again. Florida Governor RonSantis urged people in the storm's path to take action.

You have time to execute your plan, but you got to do it now.

CNN's Derek Van Dam has more on the latest storm forecast.

Hi Emily, yeah, we've been watching Hurricane Milton explode in intensity overnight.

That is the highest category on the Safar Simpson scale as it skirts along the coastline of the

ukatan Peninsula and then has more of a north-to-norteasterly trajectory towards

the Florida peninsula. This is what we're expecting. Landfall, late Wednesday into early Thursday morning in and around Tampa Bay.

It's a matter of miles who gets the worst of the impact's storm surge in excess of 10 feet possible with

flooding rain and tornadoes.

Israel's military has issued fresh evacuation orders in both Northern and

southern Gaza on the anniversary of the October 7th attacks.

Israel has been ramping up fighting in both parts of the territory,

with residents telling CNN they feel they have no safe place to go. And places like Jabalia and

northern Gaza are witnessing renewed strikes. Yesterday the Israeli military

said it launched a new ground operation there after seeing signs of Hamas rebuilding.

My wife, daughters, and children have been killed, and one of my children is still missing.
