Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck. With the five things you need to know for Monday, October 30th.

More children have been killed in Gaza than in any armed conflict in the world in each of the past four years.

That stark statistic comes from Save the Children,

after the Hamas controlled health authorities said

more than 3,000 children have been killed since October 7th.

And it comes as an Egyptian official says 75 aid trucks

are waiting to cross into the region. But UN officials warn that the current level of aid is

far below the 455 trucks that used to enter daily and the situation

is getting more desperate.

CNN's Jeremy Diamond has more near the Israel-Garza border.

What we've also been watching over the last several hours is heavy artillery fire directed at the

Gaza Strip.

And what we've also been hearing over the last several hours includes drones, helicopters and heavy machine gun fire indicating

active battles between Israeli troops and Hamas militants inside of Gaza.

Meanwhile, international anger over the death of civilians

has spilled outside the region. An angry crowd in Russia's Muslim majority region of

Dagestan stormed an airport yesterday where a flight from Tel Aviv arrived.
