Thursday, September 12th. Vice President Kamala Harris may have had a good night

on the debate stage on Tuesday, but multiple campaign aides tell CNN that they're moving

forward with the assumption that the trajectory of the 50-50 race with

former President Donald Trump hasn't changed. The Vice President heads to the

key purple state of North Carolina

today for her first rally since the debate.

San An's Priscilla Alvarez previews what she's expected to hone in on.

They certainly want to amplify some of those debate moments where they thought that she was at her strongest in a state like North Carolina.

Governor Roy Cooper who backs the Vice President also said this week in the moments after the debate that health care and abortion are two of the key issues and he believed that her debate performance does move the needle.

Trump heads to the battleground state of Arizona today for an event focused on outreach to Latinos.

It comes as his closest allies and advisors are in damage control after his debate performance.

Privately, many of them tell CNN he didn't do as well as they had hoped.

A Manhattan grand jury has indicted Harvey Weinstein on new charges, although the details

remain sealed until his future arraignment.

At a hearing last week, prosecutors said the charges could involve sexual assault

allegations from three women.

One of the incidents took place in the winter months between 2005 and 2006, a second incident took place in 2006, and a third happened in 2016.

The disgraced movie mogul wasn't present at the hearing because he was not medically cleared to attend after undergoing a heart procedure earlier this week.

The hearing was connected to Weinstein's retrial after his 2020 conviction was overturned in April.

It's currently scheduled to begin November 12th.

The prosecution is looking to combine these cases, but the defense is opposed.
