Global growth in public at plug-in vehicle registrations is out for the August data.

So it takes a while to pull together.

Global registrations of plug-in vehicles rose by 19% compared to August 2023.

1.5 million new registrations, about 2 to 1 ratio, so about a million purebeves,

and the rest were plug-in hybrids. Plug-in vehicles were 22% of the global automotive market

in August, and purebv's 14%.

That seems like a good number to me.

That doesn't sound like a disaster number, like all the headlines seem to be saying.

But, well, GM's unveiling their Powerwall competitor.

They've called it PowerBank.

Two sizes, 10.6 and 17.7 kilowatt hours. You can put it into

your home with or without the Power Shift bi-directional charger. That's $1,700. You haven't got to

have that. The V2H enablement kit you do need, though, for $5,600. And you get the battery bundle as well, starting about $11,000

for the energy storage bundle, and about $12,700 for the whole home energy system as well.

If you want the bidirectional charger, GM pointing out that all of their no longer called

ultium vehicles from 2026 model year will be vehicle to home ready.

I thought they told us at the Blazer launch that they were already and that they should have been, if you bought one now, maybe they're not.

I don't know. I mean GM and announcements. They make a lot of them, don't they?
