VW's Affordable EV Ambitions, the ID1, we'll call that, are on track for 2027, but they say

they have to do it with decent range, 300 kilometers or 186 miles of range at less than

20,000 euros. That's 21,800 US dollars equivalent.

Used EV prices are plummeting in the US and narrowing the gap with combustion cars,

Carvana, the used vehicle retailer, saying there's been a drop in the average selling price

of electric vehicles in the first quarter of the year.

Now, $31,000, which is still a difference of $7,000 to the average used combustion car.

But that's a good sign as EVs enter the used car market.
