Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. We hope you're having a great holiday. We're taking some time off, but we wanted to share some of the best kid news stories of 2020.

This podcast focuses on some positive news that came out of the

serious COVID-19 pandemic. We begin with a story from March 27th and an unlikely but hopefully effective pairing.

Basketball great Steph Curry has teamed up with Dr. Anthony Fauchy

to help drive home the coronavirus message to young people.

The doctor told Curry's 30 million Instagram followers

to take the virus seriously and pay attention to calls for social distancing.

He also said the nation can't return to normal

until the number of new cases begins to drop. Listening closely to the

interview was former president Barack Obama who logged in with a written comment to quote

follow the science and take care of one another.

Heating that advice in a really big way,

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Breeze.

He and his wife just donated $5 million to help his hard-hit state of Louisiana.

Specifically, they'll be funding 10,000 meals a day for children, seniors, and families in need, and will continue to do so as long as it takes.

So says an Australian family that made a hilarious mistake while ordering toilet paper

online.

Instead of putting 48 rolls of T.P. in their cart, they requested 48 pallets, enough to last

them 12 full years.
