Well, from Ryan, this is how they make fast food, at least hamburgers at McDonald's.

I had a friend who owned a food-making company. He used to try to make hamburgers for McDonald's, and they wouldn't give him any recipes or tell him how to make it. All they did was give him specs, and he would try out different ingredients, test them, and then they would have to meet certain specs. So if they didn't fit the parameters, they didn't take them. But they never told him, you know, this is good, this is not. Well, wouldn't they, wouldn't they supposed to have the same flavor, though? Are they just standard burgers, I think, really is seasoning in those things? Well, they must have a standard that they go by. Yeah. So as long as it matches certain specs, you can anything in it that's just for the hamburger's not sure about any other food but
