So take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us.

Today's passage comes from Psalm 51, verse 12.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and make me willing to obey you.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness together.

God, thank you.

Thank you that restoration is possible.

Thank you that on our very worst days.

Even then, we are never too far removed from you. We are never too far for your hand of salvation to reach out and rescue us.

We're never too far gone that you would not save us.

Thank you that because of our Savior Jesus, we have these great and precious

promises, that forgiveness is possible, that being cleansed by the word of God, by the blood of the

lamb, by the sacrifice of Jesus, that you can indeed wash us as white a snow, that

you will indeed forgive us, that you will fling our sins and our shortcomings and our very

worst days and our less than perfect moments.

You cast them all into the sea of forgetfulness and you bring them up no more.

So take a moment now to praise God for being the one who willingly extends to us, to you, is salvation, is forgiveness, is cleansing restoration. Let's continue now by expressing our neediness.

God like David here in this psalm, we soberly realize just how much we need forgiveness.

While we might not be adulterers and murders like David, we have all fallen short of your
