And we begin with Time magazine naming its first ever Kid of the Year.

The 2020 winner is 15-year-old Gittengale Rao of Lone Tree, Colorado.

She's a young scientist, an inventor with many accomplishments, but topping the list is

kindly, an app and Google Chrome extension that uses artificial

intelligence to detect online bullies at an early stage.

She's also run innovation workshops around the world, mentored 30,000 students, and is now working on technology that would detect contaminants in water.

Her message to other kids, if I can do it, you can do it.

Anyone can do it. All five finalists are 16 or younger and all will be recognized in the first ever

kid of the year TV special. It's hosted by Trevor Noah and will air on Comedy Central

this Friday at 7 PM Eastern and on CBS on December 21st at 9 PM Eastern.
