We've got a kind of a special show for you.

It's a special time of the year, so we should do special shows. A special time of the year.

I just want to say for two reasons. Of course, we are in the Advent season. We are anticipating

Christmas Day coming up. But there's a special anticipation this year because on Christmas Eve, we start a Jubilee.

And since the year 1300, well, at first it was every 50 years, and now it's every 25 years,

the Catholic Church celebrates a Jubilee year.

And I have become aware, as maybe if you've listened at all, you've noticed, in recent weeks of the fact that we

have not made enough of the Jubilee Year. Jubilee years are a big deal, and they're a big part

of the life of the church, and so that's coming up. If you can find out all about it, they have

a website for the Jubilee Year. There's materials at our website. We can go to the United States Catholic

Bishops. Probably your parish has information on the Jubilee year. But it's something to know about

and something to keep in mind. We are on the verge of a big Jubilee every 25-year Catholic Jubilee.

In Rome, that'll mean opening the holy doors and all kinds of things, but the graces of the

Jubilee Year are meant for everyone, Catholic and non-Catholic for every person around the world.

And so we're getting closer.

Another thing about this time of the year is people watch a lot of movies.

And let's call it our semi-annual movie show. That's what we're going to do this hour.
