Good Day Citizens and welcome to the podcast intro for the special

podcast in addition of the Thomas Jefferson Hour this week. Do you want to tell

them what the show is about going? This was a tough one. We suspended our normal plan because the events that happened in Dallas, Texas, in which an enraged man killed five police officers and wounded seven or eight others and the previous

events that helped to precipitate national protests around the country.

I regard them and I know you do too, David.

It is so unsettling that they have to be talked about and I don't think you can really have a program called the Thomas Jefferson Hour,

the man at the center of which was who was a racist and a slaveholder without addressing this question.

So that's what we've done.

It's, you know, I'm surprisingly optimistic based upon the program,

but it was dark program.

But yes and no, I'm really, I'm really grateful that we had this conversation.

Now I want to say at the outset that this could be one of those programs like the Second

Amendment programs we've done where we are bombarded by mail people who like

the discussion and people who don't. So what was that Jefferson thing when very angry.

Count to 10 or then when really angry count to 100.

And always take things by the smooth handle.

I don't think that either one of us are preaching in this, that we know it all or that we're right.

We're just discussing it and I would invite listeners if you have an opinion that you'd like us to share, please send it to us and we will attend to it and bring it up in a future conversation.

Is that fair to say?

Indeed it is.

And then, there's one other thing. We got this letter this morning from from Stephen in Rockville, Maryland.

And he wants to know our finances.
