You have these imbalances that are built in into society and the trend there is clearly

not good.

And you know, during the Great Depression, an argument against FDR and the New Deal is

what we need to have some sort of great cleansing moment where this dirty corrupt system

just breaks itself and we build something better.

And you heard that argument goes on the far right and also on the far left at that moment.

And what FDR and the New Deal did, and I think with philosophical backing from Tain's

that he's sort of most ambitious and intellectually exciting, was re-imagined government, not just

capitalists, but re-imagined government in such a way that those, that type of cleansing

that that painful, you know, rip off the bandaid thing or, you know, shoot people in the

liver kind of strategy was not necessary.
