| 0:46.0 | All right, welcome to episode 119, 119. How amazing is that? First to start friends, thank you. Thank you for all the support for the last two episodes. |
| 0:57.0 | Even last episode, the last episode I did on being proud of yourself, a feeling yourself as I said, it's now one of my most popular episodes. |
| 1:07.0 | It's insane. Really, I got more lessons on that episode in two days than I used to get in an entire month of episodes. It's crazy. |
| 1:18.0 | I can't believe it. And I feel like I keep saying that every week. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and better and better. |
| 1:23.0 | But it's true. And that's all because you guys are amazing. You keep sharing the podcast, which is incredible. So quick thank you there, meaningful, meaningful, genuine, thank you there. |
| 1:34.0 | But in that episode and last episode, I talked about why I think it's so, so important to kind of reorder your goals in life and put make myself proud at the top of the list and how you could find some real happiness doing that, even if there's still a lot of question marks in your life, even if you feel lost, even if you haven't found your purpose or the partner in life or whatever you can still make yourself proud. |
| 1:57.0 | It's a real game changing way to approach life. It really works for me, for example. That's why I think I'm just so freaking happy all the time why I'm so excited to live, even though I'm still figuring things out. So I love that. I love that concept. And you guys clearly do too. |
| 2:13.0 | Go back and listen to that episode if you can. But you know, I was thinking about that a bit more. And then I got a couple of DMs from people as I normally do asking me questions. |
| 2:24.0 | And the question that came up twice is what I think is the best way to help someone forgive themselves, forgive themselves. How do you forgive yourself and stop carrying the weight of things from your past? That was more or less the wording of those questions. How do you forgive yourself? |
| 2:40.0 | How do you stop thinking about all the should of wood of all the things you could have handled differently, all the things that went wrong that shouldn't have all the things you've done that you can't undo all the time you've wasted people who have hurt you, people who you have hurt, you know, all that regret, those failures wasted time, bad relationships, things that you blame yourself for. |
| 3:02.0 | And then you forgive yourself for those things. Those are the questions I was getting down in the DM and speaking of the M be sure to keep shooting me those at case that Kenny, I get a lot of inspiration there. And this is one example. So shoot me a DM there. But I was getting those DMs asking me what I think is the best way to get to the point where you forgive yourself for those things. |
| 3:24.0 | And I think about it actually, I think this is really, really important. And I wish I had talked about it before last episode that, you know, I think it's important that if you want to be proud of yourself, if you want to feel yourself, like I said in last episode, I think you need to learn to forgive yourself for all those things that you still carry around with you. |
| 3:46.0 | And I'm talking about here, like we all carry some heavy things around with us. We do heavy, big things. But in comparison, you know, we don't forgive ourselves for those things in our life like we do the little things. We hang on to those big things. |
| 4:02.0 | But in the meantime, we forgive ourselves for the little fuck ups, the mistakes, the embarrassments. You know, we pick ourselves up, we dust ourselves off and we keep living. You know, we don't carry those things around with us so much. |
| 4:14.0 | You know, those are times where, you know, you disappointed yourself a bit, you embarrass yourself. You don't, you don't care that with you. |
| 4:21.0 | You know, oh, you late night, the entire pizza just you crushed that family-sized mac and cheese. Yeah, okay. You're disappointed in yourself. You're disappointed in your willpower. |
| 4:33.0 | But you don't define yourself by that. You don't carry it around with you, right? Or, personal example, you know, when you live in China in 2010 and you're forced to sing karaoke in front of the entire law firm you're working at. |
