What is the good fight?

To remain faithful to Christ to the end, not to be seduced into unbelief by the world or the

devil or his own sinful flesh. He's like a runner who sees the finish line at last. The Word of the Lord endures forever is a daily verse-by-verse Bible study with the church,

past and present.

Pastor Whedon is leading us in a study of the book of 2 Timothy.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit. Be with you all. Amen.

Greetings, people, loved by God. Last time, recall, we wrapped up 2 Timothy 3. Paul began by reminding

Timothy of how he had carefully followed his teaching, his conduct, his aim and life, faith, patience,

and love,

and how all of that had brought to Paul persecutions in Antioch, Iconium, Listera,

and so many other places afterwards.

But he endured them all, and the Lord Jesus sustained his life through the hardships.

And that's the way of the Christian in this fallen age.

If you want to live a godly life in Christ, you can bank on there being persecution and troubles.

And you can also count on this, that evil persons will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves.
