end of another year, David. Yes we are isn't it great feels good

starting a new year. It does it kind of feels like we're we're getting a fresh start

on things it's a good opportunity to look back and you know as as geeks it gives us an opportunity to kind of set some priorities and

goals for what we want to do with all of our technology and stuff in the year ahead and think

about some of the stuff that has happened in the past year and

and and what we can do better and that's kind of what we wanted to do with this show is

look back at some of the problems and some of the areas of frustration we've had in the

past year and how are we gonna make that better or what are the things that we need to resolve to do better in our technology lives in 2013.

Yeah, so our show is a mix of nice little, you know, kind of hacky stuff you can do now that you're in the

year to kind of get a clean start going into the next year and some nice idea for computing

habits of one sort or another and we just got a kind of a collection of them.

But before we started I wanted to talk a little bit about habits in general because I think

this is kind of fascinating.

Creating new habits is really hard work and I know a lot of people say don't do it at the new year because it's you've got enough on your mind you know

It's it's a hard time to do it like I always hear the diet people say don't start your diet until

like the week after new year because there's still too many parties going on and

stuff happening. But there's this really great video on the TED Talk by Matt Cutts

And when you want to start a habit,

you got to really hit it for 30 days.
