I've read the Church Fathers, but the difference is I think that there are some that go to the Church Father's writings to know what to believe,

and I read them in the sense of, let me see what those who came before me believe.

If Clement saw both Protestants and Catholics today, I think you'd say you both are in the wrong in some areas.

Because I don't want to be disparaging of Protestants, but it seems like that's like a common attitude.
