So going back to the slide, nourishing the spiritual and emotional intimacy, the next

question is, are you truly invested in the wellness of your loved one?

And I shared this story in my Mormon Stories interview, but I'll share it here again.

So a little over a year ago at the Affirmation Conference, this is the King Solomon analogy.

Affirmation is an LGBTQ related affirming type of organization and it was held directly

before the Sence Stone conference last year.

And at the end of a question and answer session, there was what we might call an active

believing Mormon or true believing Mormon woman that came up and through tears asked

a question and she said, I just don't know what to do.

I'm experiencing a tremendous amount of pain and fear of loss because my daughter is lesbian

and it's extremely painful for her to go to seminary and to go to church and she tells

me if she goes like it'll kill her.
