Today we have a special guest, Mr. Glenn Fleischman.

Glenn, welcome to the show.

Thanks for having me on.

You know, Glenn, I've been a fan of yours long time and I feel like we are our brothers

in arms, you know.

We were talking before the show started how both of us started

computing when you'd measure the memory in K and it was just a single-digit number

and that's always fun seeing the paths we take as we started out nerds.

Yeah, I was, it's funny, I don't know why I developed the mission of computers when I was little, but I always was fascinated by them.

I had a friend who was more electronics guy.

This was you know we were eight or nine and he was building stuff out of spare parts

and I got interested in soldering and then I got a computer when I was 11 in 1979, an early 6 502 machine that was sort of just past the

happiest stage and taught myself to program and just had an affinity for that sort of thing.

But then I moved on to doing theater in junior high school

and didn't return to being serious about computers

for some years after my first exposure. Hey, you were the same age and the listeners have heard this, I don't want to dwell on it.

I used to get on my 10 speed, my Shwin, and right down to Radio Shack and the guys there...
