You know, I mean, there are a lot of people who they study. They study the type of work that she studies in, whether it be Buddhism or what have you,

and then they teach it and they live it in their own lives.

While that's great, what Joan Halifax does is something called socially engaged Buddhism.

She is constantly traveling, constantly, really just offering herself and her resources and everything

her and the people around her can bring to help alleviate suffering in different places around the world and raise the awareness of people and of those situations that are occurring.
