Hi, Michael. Thanks for having me, Mark. Good to be here. Okay, so I talked with Eric. We talked about the vision design.

So when the set gets handed off to set design, I think there are two main themes that were handed off, which was Energy and

0:28.2

Kullis Mana, Aldrasi, whatever we refer to that part of it. So we're going to start talking about

0:33.4

those, and then we'll talk about you added some stuff later, so we'll get into that. you want to start energy or start with the al-drazi what do you want to start talking about

0:40.4

uh sure we'll start with the al-drazi um yeah what i mean what i think is really cool about the

0:46.8

altruzzi is obviously there's these these lofty expectations of you know these are kind

0:52.4

of the marquee villains of magic in some sense of the modern era with

0:57.1

emmercule and kuzlake and ulamaug being super iconic and uh you know powerful figures that

1:03.2

you know the the the gatewash could could barely contain and so forth so there's like these

1:07.8

huge expectations of like delivering on these cards that are

1:11.8

going to be dramatic and powerful and exciting. And yeah, getting to put a, you know,

1:16.9

a horizons-esque spin on them was a unique but super cool challenge. And then also just the fact

1:23.3

1:31.6

in Battle for Zinnikar, Rise of the Eldrazi, or things along those lines.

1:35.4

Okay, so what are the challenges of Culles as a cost?

1:39.9

Yeah, so, I mean, in some ways, you know, it's sort of joked about, but it's not really a joke,

1:46.3

is that it's kind of the sixth color of magic. So, especially in the context of a limited format,

1:51.8

you know, you truly do have to give players opportunities to draft colorless mana and incorporate

1:57.4

into their deck seamlessly and, you know, be able to play their cards. So, um, you have to both create, uh, a reasonable incentive to actually draft those cutteless

2:08.1

cards and, you know, you know, sort of pay the cost of having to put those cards in their
