0:08.0	And I wanted to host this business conference for a few different reasons.
0:13.0	One, I am an entrepreneur for 16 years.
0:18.0	And everything that I know about running a business, being a leader, building a team,
0:24.0	like everything that I know is self-taught, self-taught through podcasts, like the one you're listening to,
0:30.0	the books that I've read, the YouTube videos that I've watched.
0:34.0	And when I could afford it, when I had a few years under my belt and I had a little extra spending money as a business owner,
0:41.0	going to business conferences.
0:43.0	So because they have been such an important part of my growth as a leader,
0:50.0	I had always dreamed about throwing our own.
0:53.0	So that's the first reason.
0:54.0	The second is because as a keynote speaker, a pretty popular keynote speaker,
1:01.0	I have had the honor of speaking on so many stages over the last few years.
1:09.0	And a lot of those were business conference stages.
1:13.0	And when you get that opportunity, you see things done really well.
1:17.0	And then you see things where you're like, man, I wish this existed.
1:22.0	I wish they did it this way.
1:23.0	And so I just kept thinking of all these things in the back of my head.
1:26.0	And that's dumb.
1:28.0	If you want something and you don't see it, you should create it.
1:32.0	That's why the Rise Podcast exists.
