Every thought we repeat becomes a kind of hypnotic suggestion, the unconscious mind, ever receptive, takes these repeated ideas as truth. It's time to become aware of the inner narratives you’ve been echoing, and break the trance.

Welcome back to the podcast. My name is Joseph Clough and there's episode

0:19.5

1,122 and in in today's episode, we're going to be

0:25.1

doing another power talk. And in this power talk, I believe you will find it very, very beneficial.

0:31.7

Because we're going to be catching our mind, doing unconscious processes that once we do interrupt, once we do kind of course correct, I believe you're going to find a lot of freedom in your life. You see, everything that we're going through can be like a learned strategy. Maybe we've gone through significant emotional events, which led to those limiting decisions

0:56.3

or limiting beliefs or conflicts in the body. But what we want to do is get the learning. So a thing

1:05.3

that came to my mind today was the notion of our echo chamber. I'm sure most of you know what that is, but an echo chamber

1:13.2

would be something like surrounding yourself for people with the same type of ideologies and

1:19.8

belief systems which fit your own, right? And unfortunately, it can create a lot of problems. Now,

1:27.2

we're not going to go into the politics side of echo chambers or anything like that.

1:31.4

We can expand way beyond that.

1:34.3

But just so you know, that's what it is.

1:37.7

And it's human nature, right?

1:39.0

We tend to try to hang out with people who are similar to us, or at least compliment or people like to be like.

1:48.3

Because we like to be liked, right? So that's why we get into rapport and connection with people.

1:55.4

But if you know much about echo chambers, they actually have a negative aspect to it too. You see, if you go

2:03.9

ahead and surround yourself with people with the same type of belief system, it can cause you

2:10.4

to have tunnel vision. It can cause you to only think that way and disregard other opinions or different life views or different perceptions.

2:22.1

And like I said, it's absolutely normal because it's very humanistic, it's very tribal, right?

2:28.4

We're humanistic and tribal in many sense throughout the generations.

2:32.9

But you might be asking, well, what does this really

2:35.4

have to do with personal development? Well, I want you to now change the environment, change the

2:42.0

situation when it comes to your mind. You see, are you having your very own echo chamber? So let's say you've gone through significant emotional events and you've come to the conclusion at a conscious level and maybe an unconscious one, but at the very least a conscious one where you go, do you know what?
