Welcome to the Lord of the Rings lore cast, the show that explores the background of Tolkien's amazing world from the very beginning. So here we are.

This is the end of the story of Aldarion and Arendus.

And it's not actually the end because we have to remember these are unfinished tales, right?

This story could have gone on for who knows how much longer.

These characters aren't done.

But yet, this version of the story, as you're about to see, does come to a type of conclusion.

This is a stopping point. It's almost like when you watch a TV show and you get to the end of a season and it wraps up some of the

character arcs, but then of course it leaves certain things open. That's what this kind of feels

like to me. So it's somewhat complete. And in this episode,

we will be going through the last bit of the story as it is laid out in the unfinished

tales. And then there's a section that we will talk about next week about the further course of the story

which it's titled in the book and the different pieceings together that Christopher Tolkien had

to do in order to try to figure out where this may be going and how it's very vague but there are

a few things that we can figure out.

And it's actually a little bit more than you would expect.

But we'll save that for next week because this week we are wrapping up the story of the

Mariner's wife.

Thank you. If you recall from last week, we finally get to this moment where Alderion and Menelder are meeting and discussing what is actually going on because Menelder read the letter from Gilgolad.

And there's some conflict here.

Eldarion is not a happy guy at this point. He feels like his wife has completely turned a cold shoulder to him, and she actually has,

an almost literal cold shoulder.

And so he returned back to the city, and of course, everybody's talking about it,
