David. Hey Katie. And this is an episode we didn't know that we are going to do you put out the call and boy did you get an answer huh?

Yeah, so this is the episode about self-publishing. I've got a little bit of experience with it.

A little.

Yeah, so I've put out a couple books that way. I did a couple of books with a big publisher.

And then I did a couple of books myself and I didn't think anybody would care.

It seems like a very inside baseball kind of show but then I guess her whole...

E-mails and emails came pouring it.

Well you know not that many but there was a lot of people that wanted this information.

You know, the more I think about it, our whole show is inside baseball, so why not this too, right?

Yeah, so I guess we should start by talking a little bit about my journey, right?

I remember a long time ago when this journey started.

Yeah, you've been kind of my pal throughout this stuff.

You're my confidant.

So I, uh, and I, you know, some of this stuff has already been covered on the show.

We did shows on like Mac at work with the first book I wrote. I talked about my experience with publishing industry where I basically kind of blundered my way in and despite my best efforts they still gave me a contract and I wrote a book and I guess the first thing I would

say at the show is I have no gripe with big publishers and the people that I dealt with at Wiley

were really nice to me and I had a lot of help and I think I wouldn't

have been able to do all the self-publishing without at least some of the guidance I got from
