Yeah I know. The word cynic came from ancient Greek cunicos meaning doglike and there are a couple of explanations as to why that the cynic congregated at a gymnasium on the outskirts of Athens called kinosargas meaning the white dog or swift dog or the cynics were doglike as in bad tempered or surly.
