This hour and next hour, weird questions come to us from all over the world via the internet and then we present them to Jimmy and just sit back and enjoy the answers. So that's what you can do today. I won't be giving out the phone number Jimmy Aiken, of course.

Thank you very much, Sy Kelly. How are you doing? I'm doing pretty well. I'm recovering a bit. Everybody's got this thing going around and I've had it and but I'm getting better and good. What's what dropped today on Jimmy Aiken's mysterious world.

Patrons questions episode. So we talked about whether you can be possessed by an angel, the hollow moon theory, the Genesis flood and the younger dry us flooding, whether there are actually two marries in the raising of Lazarus account.

How we got the chapters and verses of the Bible, the air make of Lord's Prayer, the Philadelphia experiment, Ouija boards, King Arthur, the nation of Islam and more.

Man and more after all of that. If any time you get the hollow moon theory and two marries in the raising of Lazarus Lazarus, that's a pretty good show. I've never actually heard the theory of two marries in the raising of Lazarus. I have to go back and read that.

Yeah, it's a theory that's been promoted recently, very recently by a young scholar who believes she's uncovered evidence in some early Greek manuscripts that the names Mary and Martha, the name Martha in particular has been altered from Mary.

And so she's taken her case to the United Bible society and they're going to look at the early manuscripts and see if they think she's right that that it was altered at some early stage and there are actually two marries there instead of Mary and Martha.

Ah, man, always somebody thinking of something new. Mary was pretty much the most popular Jewish girls name at the time, right?

Yes, Mary based on statistical studies that have been done of Palestinian Jewish names, you know, which we find on things like we find them in literary works, we find them on osuaries, which are boxes that were used to contain people's bones, so they label it whose bones were in it.

It's possible for us to do studies of what names were the most common at the time and Mary was extraordinarily popular between the female Jewish baby names, half of all women were either named Mary or salome.

Holy smokes, half, so you really needed some, they must have had a lot of diminutive forms of Mary and just other ways of referring to people or else that would have been confusing.

Yeah.

All right, it's weird questions with Jimmy Akin, for some reason I'm not seeing Jimmy Akin, do you guys know that I'm not seeing Jimmy Akin, but all right, well, I will.

Next to be more mysterious, you are more mysterious Jimmy, so today on Jimmy Akin's mysterious world, which you can get at mysterious dot F M, all those patron questions, check them out, Patrick wants to know this, Jimmy, was it certain or contingent than Adam that Adam and Eve would fall or that the angels would fall.

Certain and contingent are not necessarily mutually exclusive and in both of these cases for both human beings and angels, God gave them free will and therefore it was contingent that they would fall, they were not programmed to use their free will to fall, because if they had been programmed to do so it wouldn't have been free will, it would be programmed will.

However, God has four knowledge of the future, so as soon as you know, in the moment he created humans and angels, he knew how they would misuse their free will.

I think the better contrast rather than certain and contingent would be determined or contingent, it was not determined that they would use their free will this way, but it was certain they would use their free will this way.

All right, Patrick goes on, he's got several questions as a matter of fact I'm just realizing there's a list of them here, so his follow up to that I guess is if it is certain, could God create other rational beings for whom their fall would be contingent and could they potentially persist perpetually in the state of grace and obedience to God.

So God could create other rational beings and who would also share free will and therefore their fall or nonfall would also be contingent and because it's contingent some of them might have elected the other option and decided to remain in God's grace and obedience.

Okay, and then continuing with Patrick's question, if it is contingent, could another human couple, same nature, different identity have persisted in the state of grace and obedience to God perpetually in the Garden of Eden.
