Thanks for taking my call. My question is I was pregnant rosary and during my prayer, the rosary just broke and I had the rosary blessed prior to using it. So it's fairly new and it just bothers me. Does this mean anything?

Well, let's find out if you can hear me because apparently I've been potted down and have been trying to comment, but was not able to. I can hear you now.

Yes, I see the sheepish look at someone's face. You were potted down. So Raquel, could your rosary breaking while you were praying, it means something, meaning beyond the fact that you would just use the rosary to the point that it broke.

Well, sure, it could, but in order to establish that now, this is like any paranormal investigation.

You got to look at the natural explanations first and only you need evidence if you want to claim that something unusual was happening here.

Now, people's rosaries break, especially after they've been using them for a long time, or if it's a shotally made rosary or whatever, you know, any material object will break.

So that is not of itself suspicious. The most likely time, in fact, for a rosary to break is when you're using it because you're, you know, you're pulling on it, you're tugging on it, you're

jostling the, let's say it was a chain link rosary, you're jostling the chain links and they might slip apart. So the most likely time for it to break is actually when you're using it.

If one wanted to propose that there was some special significance to it happening, I would need to see more evidence than just the fact that broke while it was being used.

For example, if it was correlated with something else that is more noteworthy, like, you know, I'm praying the rosary, it breaks and at the same moment lightning strikes or, and even that wouldn't prove it because you might be so started by the lightning strike that your fingers accidentally, you know, caused it to break.

Or maybe something else, like, you had just cursed the Virgin Mary and all of a sudden it broke, even that wouldn't prove it.

But I would need some kind of evidence beyond the mere fact it broke while it was being used in order to establish that it had any special significance.

So let me ask you, Raquel, have was it correlated with any other unusual events?

It was not.

Okay, then I would say that the most likely explanation, I can't prove this because, you know, we don't have access to the invisible world, but I would say that the most likely explanation is it broke through purely natural causes because it was getting to a point where either, you know,

where the chain links were a little loose and they finally came apart or something else.
