It's less than a week away until Christmas. And so today I'm free for all Friday. I want to share with you my favorite Christmas movies. So that's what we're going to discuss today. Mondays and Wednesdays we talk apologetics and theology. But on Friday we talk about whatever I want to talk about. And today it's Christmas movies, of course. I've already watched a few with the kids. Probably locking a few more this weekend and in the

days leading up to Christmas. It's just such a fun, cozy, warm, wonderful thing to do. And so,

0:27.7

why not go through the list today? First, though, I want to start with the movies. They're not on the

0:32.0

list. I've got, I have eight here. I'll start at number eight moving up to number one. There are, let's see, I got four

0:39.5

here that are not on the list, even though people might wonder, shouldn't they be on the list?

0:44.7

And for some of them, I admit, yes, they are good movies or their classic movies. One of them is

0:48.7

an absolutely terrible movie. Of course, it's not going to be on the list. But just to let people

0:52.8

know about that. First of, it's a wonderful life. I the list. Uh, but just to let people know about that.

0:54.7

First of,

0:55.5

it's a wonderful life. I don't really have much of an interest in watching it. It's a wonderful life. I feel like it's kind of long. It's kind of slower pace. I appreciate that it is a good story about the importance of one man and the awful hole is left in the world. if one person isn't here

1:10.8

and that Jimmy Stewart

1:12.6

is the richest man in town

1:14.3

uh, hole that is left in the world if one person isn't here and that Jimmy Stewart is the richest

1:13.4

man in town. I mean, I listen to him going on, oh, I don't have your money. It's in, it's in

1:19.1

Bill's house and Frank's house. I love him to The Simpsons. And they go, hey, they make fun of that

1:23.8

scene. Like, why is my money in your house, Bill? And they start like a big fight and a riot. But yeah, it's not, um, it's just not a classic for me. I recognize a lot of people enjoy it. I don't pop it on that much. Same ago for National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. I was more of a family vacation guy, uh, myself is a classic film. Though when I went to re it with my wife, it was a lot naughtier than I remember.

1:45.7

Because when I was a kid, I watched it on like TBS on television, and the naughty parts were omitted or censored.

1:52.4

And that was a bit shocking.

1:54.4

Same for the Grinch stole Christmas.

1:56.6

There is a wonderful Christmas light display here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where you drive through and the entire street is decked out as how the Grinch stole Christmas doing the story with lights and synchronized elements and cutouts.

2:10.4

It's actually really cool.

2:11.0

They have one of the houses has like this huge LED screen where it looks like the Grinch is like coming out and it's like high definition screen.
