Now, this obviously does not mean if we have ever denied him. He will simply deny us outright.

We have St. Peter as the great bulwark against such a notion. Rather, Paul means if we die denying Christ, then we will also experience his

denial of us at the resurrection. The Word of the Lord endures forever is a daily verse-by-verse

Bible study with the church, past and present. Pastor Weeden is leading us in a study of the

book of Second Timothy.

Greetings, people, loved by God.

So, last time we covered 2nd Timothy 1, verse 15 through chapter 2, verse 7.

Paul reminded Timothy of how all the folks from Asia had abandoned him in his imprisonment,

and he singles out two men in particular with whom he was disappointed by Gilles and homogenes.

But then, thinking of those who deserted him called to mind also a man who had done nothing

of the sort on Asiphorus.
