| 0:59.9 | renames Abraham and Abram leaves his home and everything like that and he goes down to the land |
| 1:07.1 | of Canaan, which his descendants are going to inherit later under the leadership of Joshua. |
| 1:13.4 | So if there's Abraham, then we know that Abraham couldn't have children. |
| 1:17.5 | He and Sarah, his wife, could not as she was barren, and they were both old and unable to bear children. |
| 1:26.2 | But then God miraculously provided a son for them. |
| 1:29.6 | And his name was Isaac. |
| 1:31.6 | And then Isaac had Jacob and Esau. |
| 1:35.7 | And then Jacob had his 12 sons. |
| 1:38.5 | And this is getting near the end of the book of Genesis. |
| 1:42.0 | And then they all go down to the land of Egypt. |
| 1:48.0 | And the descendants of Abraham, the Hebrew people continue to multiply and they over the next four centuries or so but then there was a pharaoh |
| 1:55.5 | who didn't know Joseph or you know care anything about his ancestors. |
| 2:01.5 | And he was threatened by the Hebrew people. |
| 2:03.3 | He enslaved them. |
| 2:04.1 | They cry out to God. |
